Tanning  -  (full body spraytan £20.00)
Spray Tanning

Spray Tanning is carried out in your home using a pop up tent to protect everything and catch any overspray. The whole treatment takes around 15 minutes and you can put your clothes back on straight away. You will see an instant bronze colour which is the colour guide. The actual tan takes 8 hours to develop and the colour guide will wash off when showering. Your spray tan will last 5 - 7 days if you look after it.

Spraytanning involves applying an active ingredient, dihydroxyacetone or DHA, to the skin using a specialist low pressure spraying machine. DHA is a colourless sugar which interacts with the proteins and amino acids in the outer layer of the skin to produce a golden brown colour.
Before Your Tan
  • Thoroughly Exfoliate before your tan paying attention to dry areas such as knees, elbows and ankles. This will remove dead skin cells ensuring an even application and longer lasting tan.
  • Make sure your skin is free from make-up, deodorants, moisturisers, perfumes etc.
  • Wax/Shave at least 24 hours prior to treatment to allow pores time to close. Dotting in pores may appear if not adhered to.
  • Paint nails / toenails if possible to avoid staining.

After Your Tan

  • Wear loose, dark clothing and avoid putting on your bra as tight clothing/underwear may cause wear marks.
  • Wear flip-flops.
  • Do not shower/bathe for at least 8 hours (development period) - preferably overnight.
  • Do not exercise/swim during the development period.
  • Avoid contact with water for at least 8 hours (wear gloves if you need to)
  • Wear loose socks over your hands at bedtime to avoid staining of the palms.
  • After showering gently pat skin dry.
  • To prolong the life of your tan avoid long hot baths and exposure to chlorinated water.
  • Moisturise. moisturise, moisturise for maximum colour retention.

Who shouldn't have a spray tan?

  • anyone with breathing difficulties
  • woman who are in their first trimester of pregnancy (hormone levels can effect the skin and cause uneven colour)
